This work is carried out in the context of the Graphene Flagship project (graphene-flagship.eu), a massive effort supported by the EU to bring graphene and other 2D-materials to practical use.
develop novel integrated optoelectronic devices based on the integration of 2D-materials such as graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) with high index contrast waveguides in Silicon or Silicon Nitride.
be involved in design, nanofabrication and characterization.
work closely together with other imec groups and with partners in the Flagship project.
coordinate the groups’ activities in the Flagship project and develop an own research line.
a PhD in the fields of photonics or physics.
a previous experience with 2D-materials research.
good communication and interpersonal skills to link research groups and project partners.
English language skills to work in imec’s international working environment
We offer you an extendable postdoctoral position of 1 year in the Photonics Research Group, imec’s associated lab at Ghent University.
