The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) is an academic collaboration between North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Both Universities are classified by the Carnegie Foundation as “research universities with high research activity.” JSNN builds on the strengths of the two universities in the basic sciences and in engineering to offer an innovative, cross-disciplinary graduate program that will train scientists in various emerging areas of nanoscience and nanoengineering.
Job Description:

Dr. Joseph Starobin, Associate Professor at the Joint School of Nanoscience
and Nanoengineering is looking for a researcher to fill a Postdoc position in his biophysics program. The program consists of research activities in the areas of:

(1)    Mathematical modeling of reaction-diffusion systems in
        application to cardiac and neurological disorders, and

(2)   Biological signal processing and organization of databases
       acquired from clinical studies and in vitro electrophysiological
       experiments.
Requirements:

The candidates should be fluent in Python/Matlab and Fortran programming languages and knowledgeable in numerical simulations of PDE/ODE systems.
Preferably, candidates need to have a PhD in computational physisc/mathematics or biomedical engineering.
