Job Description:

The Functional Materials Engineering Lab is the research group of Professor Woo Soo Kim, a faculty member of the Mechatronic Systems Engineering at Simon Fraser University. This research group is focused on the development of micro/nano-scale manufacturing and integration to investigate state-of-art engineering challenges for smart, scalable, and robust applications and biomimetic materials with a wide range of research projects in the fields of nano structures and solution phase materials chemistry.

Projects with position available:

1. High performance nano ink preparation fro direct printing.

2. Flexible photosensor fabrication with nano ink

3. Printed battery research

4. Roll-to-roll patterning of nano inks


Bachelor degree of material science, chemistry, or electrical engineering
