You will be a member of the CMORET department (CMOS based imager and sensor projects, MEMS and optoelectronic devices). The Process Quality Team strives to improve wafer fab defectivity and solve systematic yield limiting process issues to enable low volume production of niche silicon based projects.
You will be a key member of the process quality improvement team constantly involved in improving the overall process quality at imec.
Process Quality Improvement involves improving process margins and defect reductions thereby improving the overall process stability and predictability.
You will work closely with the process development group, the Fab and the customers to understand and solve product yield issues.
Defect characterization and reduction is an integral part of process quality improvement.
Several years of experience within a semiconductor wafer fabrication environment (integration, device or yield experience preferred).
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in science or electrical engineering.
You are capable of leading cross functional teams to solve fabrication and defectivity issues.
You must have a thorough understanding of semiconductor processing and a fairly good understanding of testing and product yield.
Proficient and analytical with problem solving skills.
Highly responsive to customer demands.
Familiar with defect inspection, characterization and reduction.
Familiar with process margin studies and design of experiments.
You have excellent communication skills.
You are an enthusiastic and creative team player.
Fluency in English is a must in imec’s international working environment.
