Coordinate and hold cleanroom sessions at University of Notre Dame Fabrication Facility.
Becomes familiar with rules, regulations, administrative practices, guidelines and policies of the college. Provides adequate notice of absence.
Maintains accurate attendance and grade records.
Attends required orientation meeting(s).
Assists the program chair in managing all aspects of the program including recruiting and retention of students and writing grant proposals.
Performs other duties as assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.
A qualified Nanotechnology Instructor is one who has an earned a bachelor's degree or a higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in science or engineering. Experience in atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, vacuum systems, and lithography is required.
Prior teaching and research experience is highly desirable.
