Job Description:
  • Coordinate and hold cleanroom sessions at University of Notre Dame Fabrication Facility.
  • Becomes familiar with rules, regulations, administrative practices, guidelines and policies of the college. Provides adequate notice of absence.
  • Maintains accurate attendance and grade records.
  • Attends required orientation meeting(s).
  • Assists the program chair in managing all aspects of the program including recruiting and retention of students and writing grant proposals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.
A qualified Nanotechnology Instructor is one who has an earned a bachelor's degree or a higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in science or engineering. Experience in atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, vacuum systems, and lithography is required.  
Prior teaching and research experience is highly desirable.
