| Job Description: | ||||||||||||
Job description This position has additional responsibilities within the customer and supplier engagement as well as facilitating existing research activities and stimulating new initiatives. Together with experts from each respective field and based on input from the business lines, you develop a short and long term operational plan for the department. You translate targets into specific milestones for the department members. You set the right priorities in order to ensure high quality process development and follow up on work progress and planning in order to reach those milestones (cf. balanced scorecard, definition and follow-up of proper key performance indicators, ...). You provide adequate process support for the business lines (Unit Process Modules) by defining appropriate infrastructure. You also organize and facilitate the necessary communication inside and outside the department in order to inform the programs and other organizations on progress and problem areas. You follow up on new technology trends and guarantee the readiness of the department for next generation technology nodes at any time. You define the process controls and improvements needed to ensure process stability. Finally you establish a proper network with equipment and material suppliers as well as an important group of imec partners. You look for opportunities to get the proper hardware infrastructure at imec and to have access to new materials in order to support our programs. Your key responsibilities are:
