CIC nanoGUNE is a new research center situated in San Sebastian, at the heart of the Basque Country (Spain). CIC nanoGUNE was conceived with the purpose of developing world-class research in nanosciences and nanotechnology. Over 70 scientists from 20 different countries work at nanoGUNE covering a wide range of topics in nanosciences.
The project will involve atomic force spectroscopy to study the mechanics of proteins from the extracellular matrix related to diseases and disorders. The study of chemical and enzymatic reactions with force will also be part of the project.
The candidates should have a degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related field. He or she must be able to work in a team, have excellent writing and communication skills in English, willing to travel and participate in conferences and meetings, giving seminars and scientific talks periodically. An excellent grade record is a plus.
