The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering is searching for a faculty member at the rank of Tenured or Tenure Track Open Rank Professor for the Nanoscience Department. JSNN is a collaboration of North Carolina A&T State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. JSNN has two interdisciplinary Nanoscience degree programs, including a Professional Science master's (PSM) in Nanoscience and a Ph.D. in Nanoscience, as well as an M.S. and Ph.D. in Nanoengineering. The unique environment of JSNN also enables the pursuit of corporate collaborative relationships that serve as a "reactor" for emerging technologies and fosters an environment conductive to discovery. |

| Job Description: | ||||||||||||
The JSNN’s Nanoscience Department is looking for a researcher/educator with demonstrated scholarship potential in one or more of the physical sciences and a commitment to interdisciplinary research and teaching. This Nanoscience faculty position will complement the JSNN’s existing expertise across six current research platforms, which include: Nanomaterials, Nanobiology, Nanobioelectronics, Nanometrology, Nanoenergy, and Computational Nanotechnology. Additionally, this position will develop and teach leading edge nanoscience related courses and facilitate dynamic engagement with relevant industries." Notes: International Candidates will be considered. |

| Requirements: | ||||||||||||
The successful candidate will have earned a doctorate in a relevant physical science, (i.e. materials science, chemistry, physics, math, and/or analytical sciences; and have demonstrated a research interest in one or more of JSNN's research platforms: nanomaterials, nanochemistry, nanoenergy, nanometrology, nanophysics, nanobiology/nanomedicine, and computational technology. Additionally, applicants are expected to have a demonstrated record of funding and publication, and have at least two years of post-doctoral experience. |
