Job Description:

As project engineer for “Full Turn Key” production you act as the technical support interface between the chip manufacturing foundry, assembly house, test house and our international customers.  You take up responsibility for the full production planning including test solution, characterization and qualification.
You will be responsible for:
-  Setting up  a “Full Turn Key” solution with the customer based on the offerings from our packaging and testing partner subcontractors.
-  Discussing the IC prototype-to-production volume ramp plan with the customer including characterization, qualification, packaging and test.
-  After volume ramp, in full production, you propose and develop yield improvement plans, multi-site test solutions and different packaging options.
-  Daily follow-up of production deliveries using imec’s propriety WIP (Work-in-Progress) database system.
-  Monthly alignment with our sales managers on customer forecasts and subcontractor capacities.
-  Attending regular training courses in order to master the newest technologies related to the most advanced packaging and test methods.


You have a Master’s degree in Electronics, preferably with 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in the areas of chip packaging, chip test solutions and supply chain management.
You have experience in project-based work. You are pro-active and customer focused, like to take initiatives and you are very motivated to work within a team of engineers. A good knowledge of English is mandatory. You are willing to travel on a regular basis (1week/month).
