The Advanced Patterning Center (APC) is a joint initiative launched by imec and ASML to address the upcoming scaling challenges associated with the chip industry’s move towards single digit nanometer dimensions. The center is located at the imec campus in Leuven (near Brussels) and is expected to grow continuously over the next couple of years. The APC is associated with the imec Supplier Hub, an initiative involving many leading edge semiconductor equipment suppliers, aimed at creating a collaborative environment to investigate the practical interactions between all the different steps in the chip patterning process. The APC and Supplier Hub will use actual devices to analyze and optimize process steps as well as materials and device architecture choices, while applying integrated metrology. For the APC we are looking for a Resist Process Development Engineer (m/f).

 
Job Description:

Job Description
You will contribute to the NXE Imaging Applications project and other multidisciplinary projects. You will optimize and test resist processes as defined by ASML project leader in the imec 300mm cleanroom.  

Your main responsibilities will be:
 

  • Evaluating, optimizing and maintaining advanced photoresist processes.
  • Execute detailed literature studies and link to experimental data.
  • Design experiments and perform extensive data analysis.
  • Support customer and factory escalations.
  • Communicate results and priorities to others through reports and presentations.
Requirements:

 

 

Profile
 

  • You have a Master or Bachelor in Chemical and/or Process Engineering.
  • You have 1-5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of the process steps of microlithography is preferred.
  • You are able to complete your tasks in time with minimal supervision.
  • You are self-motivated, innovative and hands-on.
  • You have excellent English communication skills.
