The research objective of Prof. Hao Zeng's group is fundamental understanding of spin and magnetic properties in nanostructures. To achieve this goal, they are working on three broadly defined areas.1) Nanostructure synthesis/fabrication. The approaches include chemical synthesis, vapor phase growth and thin film deposition. 2) Device fabrication. We combine bottom-up self-assembly with top-down lithography (both optical and e-beam lithography) to fabricate charge transport devices. 3) Magnetism and spin dependent charge transport studies.
