EPA nanotechnology information gathering rule extension and guidance

(Nanowerk News) EPA extended the effective date of the recently-issued TSCA section 8(a) Nanotechnology Reporting and Recordkeeping Requirements Rule from May 12, 2017 to August 14, 2017.
This rule establishes reporting and recordkeeping requirements for certain chemical substances when they are manufactured or processed at the nanoscale as described in the rule.
EPA is also asking the public for input on its draft guidance document for the rule. This draft guidance provides answers to questions the Agency has received from manufacturers (includes importers) and processors of certain chemical substances when they are manufactured or processed at the nanoscale, as described in the final rule issued January 12, 2017.
Comments on this draft guidance can be submitted to docket number EPA-HQ-OPPT-2010-0572 via www.regulations.gov. Comments are due June 15, 2017.
