As of September 2010 the MSc in Nanoscience will no longer be offered in cooperation with Leiden University. At TU Delft Nanoscience will be offered as a track within the Applied Physics MSc programme.
The special Master's track Nano-engineering lasts two years. Each year consists of 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). Formally this programme is part of the master program Applied Physics. Nano-Engineering forms part of the joint activities in the field of Nanoscience & Technology of the TU/e and the Radboud University of Nijmegen.
The Bachelor's programme in Physics and Astronomy takes three years.
The programme offers you considerable freedom to follow your own interests. At the beginning of the programme you will select one study area from the three options available: physical chemistry; biophysics or chemical biology. Within this area you can choose from several specializations ranging from material science to neural networks and from neurobiology to organic chemistry and nanoscience
The Top Master programme in Nanoscience aims to train the cutting-edge scientists of the future. This is achieved by offering a challenging interdisciplinary programme and by admitting only very talented and motivated students. The courses are taught by top international scientists, and a large part of the programme consists of actually conducting scientific research, alongside world-class scientists, using the state-of-the-art facilities of the Zernike Institute.
The MSc Nanotechnology is a 2 year programme for anybody having a BSc degree in any applied science. The educational programme is offering you a multidisciplinary approach to this new emerging field, forming an excellent preparation for a scientific career both at the university or in industry.
The graduate research programmes of the Twente Graduate School are set up as a coherent and integrated master and doctorate course that runs over a period of five to at most six years leading to a PhD degree.
