An NSF-IGERT Ph.D. Fellowship Program. A Training Program to Prepare Graduate Students for Emerging Nanotechnology Fields.
A certification in Nanoscale Science and Technology documents that a graduate student has mastered fundamental principles and practical implications in the core areas of the field. The certification program is open to all graduate students in good standing at Penn and is designed such that students in BE, CBE, ESE, MEAM, and MSE can accomplish this within their degree program, i.e. without extending the time to graduation.
Six courses constitute the nanotechnology minor.
The Graduate Portfolio Program in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology is a certification program which provides an opportunity for doctoral students to obtain credentials in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology while they are completing the requirements for a doctoral degree in a particular discipline. This portfolio program is an efficient and effective introduction to Nanoscience and Nanotechnology for students from a wide range of technical disciplines.
