Dr. Carnesale frequently consulted on national security matters for U.S. Government agencies and testified on various matters before Congress. Dr. Carnesale holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
“We are delighted that Dr. Carnesale has joined the NPH Board. His leadership, guidance, technical knowledge and global connectivity are extraordinary and will facilitate the next stage of our corporate strategy and development plans for our precision-guided, nano-delivery platform,” commented Joseph A. Boystak, Chairman and Co-CEO. “Dr. Carnesale’s expertise will significantly enhance the opportunities to deploy our technologies. We are carefully determining the priorities for these development programs and plans for commercial roll-out,” Boystak further stated.
“Dr. Carnesale’s relationship with top-tier research institutions and universities, including UCLA along with major corporations and governmental agencies will help us immensely as we seek to enter into business collaborations, partnerships and joint research initiatives with entities worldwide,” said Michael Flesch, Vice Chairman & Co-CEO. “Dr. Carnesale led the strategic initiative to create and domicile the California Nano Systems Institute (CNSI) at UCLA and helped secure funding of approximately $350 million from Federal and State governmental agencies and private industry to create the CNSI, thus creating one of the premier nano institutes in the world, which had its inaugural event in December 2007,” Flesch noted.
"I am excited by NanoPacific's capacity to develop and apply nanotechnologies in creative yet practical ways. It is a privilege to join this team of outstanding scientists, engineers, and business leaders,” commented Dr. Carnesale.
