(Nanowerk News) mPhase Technologies, Inc. today announced that a consumer products division has been created in anticipation of the AlwaysReady Emergency Flashlight product launch. The product is expected to be available in early 2010. The AlwaysReady Emergency Flashlight will be the first product to utilize mPhase’s unique battery technology.
The consumer products division will operate under the name mPower Technologies, Inc. which will be 100% owned by mPhase Technologies, Inc. This division will be responsible for all marketing, sales, planning, logistics and customer support involved in the sale of all consumer products developed by mPhase Technologies. The company plans to diversify its product line to create additional consumer products in the near future.
"As we move from research and development of new battery technology to the launch of a new consumer product line it was essential to create a new consumer division that is entirely focused on the consumer.” said CEO Ron Durando.
