DTSC/California Nano-Industry Network hosts Nanotechnology V Symposium
(Nanowerk News) The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and the California Nano-Industry Network is hosting the fifth Nanotechnology Symposium: "DTSC/California Nano-Industry Network Symposium" on November 16, 2009 in the Byron Sher Auditorium on the 2nd Floor of the Cal/EPA Building, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, California from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Check in for on site attendees will begin at 7:30 AM. The symposium will also be available via webcast at http://www.calepa.ca.gov/broadcast/.
Join them for a discussion on environmental health and safety issues where the DTSC Nanotechnology Data Call-in will be used as a backdrop. The morning session will focus on the collaborative efforts emerging in the United States and internationally regarding health, safety, and environmental impacts of nanomaterials. The afternoon session will look at examples of companies applying the evolving knowledge on nanomaterials safety to systematically address various areas of concern. Speakers and session leaders include:
