The future Andalusian Centre for Nanomedicine and Biotechnology (BIONAND) is seeking Heads for its main research areas

(Nanowerk News) The future Andalusian Centre for Nanomedicine and Biotechnology, BIONAND, (website under construction) in Málaga/Spain is seeking Heads for its main research areas: Nanodiagnostics, Therapeutic Nanosystems and Nanobiotechnology as well as for its Nano-Imaging Research Facility.

Head of Research Areas
Major Duties:
  • To facilitate scientific activity developed in the area.
  • To promote collaboration between research groups of the area and other groups within BIONAND, the Andalusian Public Healthcare System and the industry.
  • To collaborate in the execution of strategic programs designed for implementing BIONAND research in the Andalusian Public Healthcare Service.
  • To maintain a high-standard record of scientific production.
  • Key Requirements:
  • International experience leading competitive research projects.
  • An outstanding, international competitive career background.
  • Principal Investigator of research projects founded under competitive calls.
  • International scientific publications in high-impact journals in the field.
  • Major services to the scientific community (member of editorial boards, guest editor, and grant research reviewer for international organizations).
  • Senior Scientist/Responsible of Nano-Imaging Research Facility
    Major Duties:
  • To organize and coordinate the activities of the Research Facility.
  • To offer high quality technical support and services related to Nano-Imaging techniques (MRI, NMR, TEM, and SEM) within BIONAND research groups as well as external groups.
  • To maintain a high-standard record of scientific production.
  • Key Requirements:
  • Experience in managing imaging facilities in health-related biological and translational research.
  • An outstanding, international competitive career background.
  • International scientific publications in high-impact journals in the field.
  • Major services to the scientific community will be highly valuable.
