NT-MDT Was The Highest-Growth Company In The SPM Market In 2009
(Nanowerk News) According to the results of the market research of the “Future Market Inc.” Agency, NT-MDT Co. has the second position on the international market of nanotechnology equipment production in the probe microscopy segment. For the last year the market share of the company has grown from 10% till 14%. The success of the company can be explained by the fact, that NT-MDT has released a few innovative nanotech tools for the last years and also provides perfect after-sales service.
The probe microscopy segment is the most dynamic part of the nanotech market. According to different assessments, its growth was between 7-12% per year before the crisis. During the economic recession the market growth rates have essentially decreased, but in the same time the sales level of NT-MDT hasn’t fallen and the company continues to ascend. For the last 3 years the market-share of NT-MDT Co. has doubled from 7% till 14%, so the “Future Market Inc.” Agency named NT-MDT among the most high-growth companies. It is worth to note the constant growing trend throughout all the 20-years period of the company’s history. For example since 2002 the NT-MDT Co. sales volume has increased 25-fold!
During the last years NT-MDT Co. launched to the market a few innovative nanotech tools that can be used by scientists with different qualification. These products are NTEGRA Spectra, NTEGRA Life, SOLVER Next and NANOEDUCATOR. Two of them have been awarded with R&D 100 Prize – one of the main awards on the high-tech market.
NTEGRA Spectra is a unique integration of Scanning Probe Microscope and confocal microscopy/luminescence and Raman scattering spectroscopy. Owing to the giant effect of tip enhanced Raman scattering it allows carrying out Raman spectroscopy and obtaining images with resolution up to 50 nm. NTEGRA Spectra is the R&D 100 Award winner 2006.
SOLVER Next is the novel dual head system which offers both atomic force (AFM) and scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) under one hood. The flexible, sleek and functional system incorporates smart software, automated head exchange, and motorized sample positioning under video monitored control. Solver NEXT is the R&D 100 Award winner 2009.
NANOEDUCATOR is a scientific training complex with a set of learning aids, accessories for introducing students to nanotechnology and giving them a basic understanding of how work with objects at nanoscale level. It’s a student oriented SPM developed for work by even first-time microscope users which can navigate through the step-by-step operation.
The new NTEGRA Life
NTEGRA Life was presented at the end of 2009. It is a new generation microscope that integrates capabilities of atomic force and optical microscopes. It allows the combination of scanning probe and optical investigation. For cell biology AFM can provide the best visualization and measurement, for molecular biology – visualization of single molecules and macromolecular aggregates.
Moreover, NT-MDT Co. is proud of its after-sales support. The company offers expert service and applications development through more than 20 representative offices and distributor centers around the globe.
NT-MDT produces and provides innovative nanotechnological tools and complexes for scientific and research organizations all over the world. The key branch offices of the company are situated in Holland, Ireland, USA and China. In the past five years, the installed base of the company has grown to over 2000 instruments, promoting growth of both lab and research programs world-wide.
