European Biotechnica Award 2010: Competition entries now being accepted

(Nanowerk News) Entries for the EUROPEAN BIOTECHNICA AWARD 2010 are now being accepted. Upcoming European companies from the biotechnology sector and the life sciences have until 30 April 2010 to submit entries for this prize. Worth 75,000 Euros, the award is presented to new companies for innovative products and services and/or related concepts and business ideas.
By 31 July the international panel of nine experts will have selected three finalists on the basis of their evaluation of all the competition entries. In the next and final round, the three finalists are invited to present their concepts in person to the panel of judges.
The winner will be announced on 4 October during the opening ceremony of BIOTECHNICA. The first prize comprises 30,000 Euros. All three finalists also receive substantial non-cash benefits, such as business strategy and investment consulting services as well as media packages.
The terms and conditions of participation, application forms and information on previous winners have been posted online at www.biotechnica.de/award_e. The EUROPEAN BIOTECHNICA AWARD has been awarded annually since 2003 by trade fair organizers Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover, and their partners.
