Nanotechnology and policy meeting for European industry

(Nanowerk News) The European Nanotechnology Trade Alliance (ENTA) will hold its next policy meeting for industry on nanotechnology and policy in Brussels, Belgium, on March 14, 2007. The topics will include:
  • An Update from the European Commission's Nanotechnology Unit on FP7
  • An update on REACH Maciej Baranski from DG Enterprise and Industry
  • Paul Borm of Magnamedics will discuss toxicology testing strategies for nanoparticles
  • Dr. Antje Grobe from the University of Stuttgart risk perception
  • Professor Kenny from the University of Perugia will discuss Life Cycle Analysis
  • Thomas Epprecht from Swiss Re will discuss risk assessment/management
  • Volker Türk of Wuppertal Institute to discuss ethical and legal impacts of nanotechnology
