FlexTech Alliance announces dates for 2011 Flexible Electronics and Displays conference

(Nanowerk News) The FlexTech Alliance, focused on developing the electronic display and the flexible, printed electronics industry supply chain, today announced the dates for its 10th annual Flexible Electronics and Displays Conference, to be held in Phoenix, Ariz., February 7-10, 2011. As part of the special 10th anniversary celebration, the conference will highlight the progress of commercialization of flexible electronics and displays over the last ten years and where the industry is headed in the next ten years. Additionally, the conference is expanding to address global technical and business issues, advancements impacting the flexible electronics field, and areas where displays are a key driver.
Due to growth in the industry and increased interest in this conference and exhibition, FlexTech is moving the event to a larger venue to accommodate the more than 400 attendees. The 2011 event will be held at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix. The conference event attracts over 200 companies, universities, R&D labs, and government agencies representing the many different segments of the flexible electronics and displays value and supply chains. Attendees span the roles of technical, marketing, product development, manufacturing, and business planning functions. In addition to the technical conference, Flex 2011 will also host a variety of other events, including a Short Course Series, Poster Sessions, Exhibitions, a Welcome Reception and the annual FLEXI Awards Dinner.
"This year marks a major milestone for the FlexTech Alliance," said Michael Ciesinski, FlexTech CEO. "Over the last ten years, our organization has made great strides towards the goal to accelerate the transition from R&D to prototype manufacturing to commercialization and market acceptance of the electronic display and the flexible, printed electronics supply chain. At this conference, we will highlight our accomplishments to date and set expectations for the future. We are also adding some special festivities to help celebrate our anniversary, such as a networking golf event and a gala 'Evening on the Green'."
