Putin orders program to develop the Russian nanotechnology industry until 2015

(Nanowerk News) President Putin of Russia has set in motion a program that will develop the Russian nanotechnology industry by 2015. Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko projects the value of products manufatured using nanotechnology to reach about a trillion rubles (editor's comment: even the Russians are using trillions now...), which is approx. $38 billion.

Putin said "Nanotechnology is one area in which the government is ready to provide all necessary means, however, we must have clear investment goals and be able to undertake effective action."
