Emerging industries will be the highlights of China Hi-Tech Fair 2010

(Nanowerk News) China Hi-tech Fair (CHTF) is jointly hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, Ministry of Agriculture, State Intellectual Property Office, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering and Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. Since its inception in 1999, the CHTF has become the largest hi-tech show in China and the most influential state-level platform for international technological and economic exchange.
CHTF 2010 will be held in Shenzhen from November 16 to November 21. The total exhibition area will exceed 105,000sqm. From the aspects of the theme, the exhibition, high-end forums and events, CHTF 2010 will focus on emerging industries, such as new energy, energy saving and environmental protection, new generation of information technology, biology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials and new energy automobiles.
China's Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, and Ministry of Industry and Information, as well as the others, will organize theme pavilions that focus on energy saving, environmental protection, new energy and other emerging industries.
Among these pavilions, the Ministry of Commerce will establish the theme pavilion emphasizing the idea of a "low carbon economy," to display well-known enterprises mastering the future trend of development in the field of "low carbon" science and technology all over the world. The Ministry of Industry and Information will establish a theme pavilion of "Industrial Energy Saving and Comprehensive Utilization," while the National Development and Reform Commission will also set up a theme pavilion, which focuses on "Accelerating the Fostering and Development of Strategic Emerging Industries," to display the fruits of China during the process of accelerating the fostering and development of strategic emerging industries while also promoting the restructuring of industries in recent years.
The "China Hi-tech Forums" of this session of CHTF 2010 not only set-up the traditional projects, such as the "Ministerial Forum," the "Capitalized Market Forum," and the "Chinese Entrepreneur Forum," but will also establish the "New Energy and 'Low Carbon' Development Summit." The subjects of the forums are set up based on issues related to the development of strategic emerging industries
