Workshop on nanotechnologies for environmental remediation

(Nanowerk News) Presentations from the "Workshop on Nanotechnologies for Environmental Remediation" that was held on April 16 and 17 in Ispra, Italy, are now available on the Nanoforum website.
This workshop, a joint effort between the Institute for Environment and Sustainability, JRC Ispra, and Nanoforum, gathered international experts in remediation for contaminated air, water and soil to discuss the novel ways in which nanotechnologies are having an impact. The following presentations are available for download:
Environment and Health Effects of Pollution in Heavily Populated Areas
Application of nanofiltration for treatment of process and waste water
Nanoparticles for Photocatalysis: Cleaning Polluted Water, Air and Surfaces with Sunlight
Escape of Nanoparticles during Diesel Particulate Trap Regeneration
Potential Application of Nanotechnologies for Environmental Improvement
Environmental Nanotechnology
Analysis of Radioactive Solutions by a Microsystem
Complexity and Risk in Environmental Remediation using Nanoparticles
Photocatalytic Water Treatment and Purification
Nanometre-Scale Observation of Biodegradation
Nano Methods for CO2 Sequestration and Groundwater Treatment
Water Purification with Nano-Crystalline Diamond as an Environmental Friendly Process
