Free online event: Nanoscience research highlights - Asia (East)

(Nanowerk News) Join us on Thursday 20th January, 2011 at 0.745 (GMT) for a free webinar on 'Nanotechnology Research Highlights – Asia (East)'. Organised by The Chinese Society for Micro and Nano Technology (CSMNT), this online workshop will showcase the latest developments in the region and will offer a unique platform for nanoscientists and researchers to meet and listen to presentations given by our expert speakers from China, Malaysia and Thailand. Discussion sessions will provide opportunities for participants to learn more about each other's expertise, infrastructure and research interests, facilitating networking and collaboration.
The invited expert speakers are:
  • Prof. Wang Zhuo, National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, China.
  • Prof. Dr Halimaton Hamdan, Professor of Physical Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Under Secretary National Nanotechnology Directorate
  • Prof. Sirirurg Songsivilai, Executive Director of National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) Thailand
  • The prospective audience consists of nanoscientists and stakeholders from Europe and International Cooperation Partner Countries to the EU (emerging economies and developing countries) who are interested in developments in the Asia (East) region. Participation is free for registered users of the ICPC-NanoNet website.
    How to register
To sign up for the Nanoscience Research Highlights - Asia (East) workshop go to www.icpc-nanonet.org. Workshop participants must also be registered users of ICPC-Nanonet. Registration is free. Connection details will be sent to you the week of the event.
