Philips Combines Design, Performance and Sustainability in Innovative High-Performance LED Direct Luminaire

(Nanowerk News) Expanding on its commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable new lighting technologies, Philips Ledalite introduces Jump™ - a high performance direct luminaire with LEDs or fluorescent light sources. Jump's combination of architectural elements, integrated technologies, and patented optics are beautifully enveloped in a contemporary form that culminates with a revolutionary new luminous endcap.
Philips Ledalite's unique LEDLOGIQ™ design approach features MesoOptics® holographic nanotechnology, which makes spaces more visually comfortable by optimally blending light and color, controlling high angle glare and creating a precise batwing distribution, while concealing the light source. Jump also integrates Philips Ledalite daylight harvesting sensors and Airwave wireless, battery-free, solar and kinetically powered controls to reduce energy consumption. Jump is ideal for commercial applications such as offices, educational environments, and retail spaces.
"We continue to deliver Philips' industry-leading LED innovations that once again exceed market expectations," said Tim Berman, General Manager, Philips Ledalite. "As the industry leader in research and development, we are excited to take lighting technology to new heights. In today's rapid state of technology transformation, we are proud to be the innovation partner our customers can trust," added Berman.
Jump combines the latest technology and modern aesthetics with advanced engineering to deliver enhanced energy-efficiency, an end-to-end continuum of luminance, and superior lighting quality. Available in a wide variety of light sources, patterns, colors and mounting options, Jump features an easy "plug and play" installation that simplifies maintenance and upgrades. The Jump LED option has an expected life of 60,000 hours to L80 and carries a 5-year guarantee on the entire luminaire system (fixture, driver and LEDs).
Philips is the undisputed leader in LED based lighting solutions. In the last two years, Philips has invested more than $4.4 billion on LED lighting acquisitions and research to help ensure its ongoing LED technology innovation and leadership. This combined knowledge and dedication has resulted in LED based lighting solutions that are not only practical and beautiful, but also energy-efficient and sustainable.
