10th annual nano tech International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference in Japan attracted over 46000 visitors
(Nanowerk News) nano tech 2011 International Nanotechnology Exhibition
and Conference celebrated its 10th annual event from
Feb. 16 to Feb. 18, 2011 in Tokyo. 638 exhibitors
covering an exhibition surface of 6786 square meters
presented their nano technologies and products at this
world's largest nano technology fair. 190 exhibitors,
around 30 percent, came from one of the 20 exhibiting
foreign countries and regions.
46,502 visitors gathered at the International Exhibition
Center Tokyo Big Sight to engage in business talks and
to get the latest information on nanotechnology, making
the event a huge success.
nano tech 10 years special program attracted the public's attention
A 10-year anniversary special showcase with the theme "Towards the next innovation with nanotechnology"
illustrated how nanotechnology can contribute to an abundant lifestyle. The exhibition space designed as a
living room attracted the attention of visitors. Cosmetic products, an electric vehicle, LED lightening and a
glassless 3D television, all based on the use of nano technology, were on display.
Moreover, a nanotechnology chronological table tracking all inventions and discoveries, which contributed to
the development of nanotechnology, was distributed to visitors of the show. This table shows the importance
of nanotechnology as a fundamental technology for research and development of Materials, ICT/Electronics,
Biotechnology and Energy.
nano tech Award Winners
The 10th nano tech Award ceremony took place on the last day of the exhibition. Every year, members of the
nano tech executive committee choose outstanding exhibitors showing original and advanced technologies.
The 2011 winners of the nano tech Awards are as follows:
GRAND AWARD – FUJIFILM Corporation
The committee commended the company's development of
outstanding material solutions contributing to "Ambient"
"Emotion" and "Wellness". Based on its competence in
