NanoICT project launches a second call for exchange visits for PhD students (or senior research personnel)

(Nanowerk News) The main objectives of this initiative are:
  • To perform joint work or to be trained in the leading European industrial and academic research institutions
  • To enhance long-term collaborations within the ERA
  • To generate high-skilled personnel and to facilitate technology transfer
  • In all respects, these training activities are an important element in networking
  • Conditions
  • 1.500€ (maximum) per visit to cover only travel and accommodation expenses
  • Applicants must be students or research personnel (no permanent position allowed) working in any registered nanoICT group (http://www.phantomsnet.net/RegICT/member.php?project=4&intra=1)
  • Destination groups must be as well a nanoICT registered group (http://www.phantomsnet.net/RegICT/registroICT.php?project=4&intra=1)
  • Duration of the visit: one week minimum and should be finished before the end of September 2011
  • After the visit, a scientific summary report must be delivered (to be published in the E-Nano Newsletter, http://www.phantomsnet.net/Foundation/newsletters.php, thus no copyright will be requested)
  • The nanoICT Management Board will award grants for this activity on a competitive basis
  • Priority will be given to women and ERA cross border applications
  • Funding will be available only for personnel belonging to European groups
  • Application proposal (year 2011)
    (1 page long maximum) must be sent before 1st July, 2011 and must include the following info:
  • Name of the applicant
  • Affiliation
  • Brief CV Destination institution/company
  • Duration of the visit
  • Objectives (related to any nanoICT Working Group http://www.phantomsnet.net/nanoICT/groups.php?project=4)
