Nanotechnology Investors Forum
(Nanowerk News) Are you launching a new business and do you require private investment? Does your product involve nanotechnology?
Have you answered YES?
Then the NanoCom Investors Forum is what you are looking for!
What is the Investors Forum?
Within the framework of FP7 NanoCom we are organising a Nanotechnology Investors Forum in Spring 2012. The specific aim of this forum is to present to selected investors (Business Angels, Venture Capitalists) specific investment opportunities based on nanotechnologies. The forum is a European initiative aimed at facilitating the path to success for spin-offs or start-ups where development has been part funded by a public organisation (European, national, regional). This initiative is also supported by other European nanotechnology related networks and platforms. For more information on EU Nano related networks please visit the NANOfutures platform.
The forum will be held at the Swiss Nano Convention on May 23, 2012. This 3-day event is one of the most important events in nanotechnologies and will bring together the main players in nanotechnologies, allowing participants in the Investors Forum to network and develop partnerships.
What are we looking for?
Early stage or more mature business opportunities using nanotechnologies
Development of the technology must be or have been part funded by a public organisation (European, national, regional)
As a party involved in developing technologies (Key Research Organisation), we are kindly asking you to submit your best business opportunities and ideas. The selection committee will review all proposals and select the most promising ones (criteria will include the maturity of the project, potential to raise interest from private investors and the added value of the business opportunity for customers).
How to apply
We would be happy to see you participate in this event. To do so, please submit your business opportunity ideas by 27th November 2011 to firstname.lastname@example.org
This should comprise a document (approx. 2 pages) including the following information:
Description of the business opportunity
Description of the market and of the added value you will bring to customers
SWOT analysis of the business opportunity
All proposals will be considered strictly confidential. Submitted proposals will not be communicated outside of the NanoCom project and will not be used for any purpose other than in the selection of participants for the Investors Forum.
If your project is selected...
... you will receive advice from business experts who will help you prepare on how to successfully present your business opportunity to investors.
