Nano-conference update 2: Early registration deadline for Technology Roadmap for Productive Nanosystems

(Nanowerk News) The early registration deadline of September 17 is fast approaching for the premier conference on molecular nanotechnology, held this year on October 9-10 in the DC area.
"Productive Nanosystems: Launching the Technology Roadmap" is a conference sponsored by Foresight Nanotech Institute and Society of Manufacturing Engineers with support from Battelle. It will take place on October 9-10, 2007 in DoubleTree Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia, USA.
For 20 years, researchers have explored the promise of atomically-precise construction.  Now the Technology Roadmap for Productive Nanosystems will show the way forward, and payoffs along the road, to this ultimate technological revolution.  Special thanks go to the Waitt Family Foundation and Sun Microsystems for financial support of the Roadmap project.
There will be over 20 presentations from leading experts and explore the power of advanced "bottom-up" nanotechnologies. Address your questions, fulfill the enormous promise of nanotechnology, and explore a wide range of applications, including:
* Super-efficient energy collection and storage
* Medical devices to detect and treat diseases at their earliest stages
* Next-generation computation
* Advanced sensors
* High-performance aerospace materials
* Intelligent materials and devices
