(Nanowerk News) Polytec, a leader in optical measurement technology, and Digital Surf, a leader in surface analysis software, confirmed that Polytec will be launching a new enhanced range of TMS-Report software based upon the latest generation of Digital Surf's industry-standard Mountains Technology. The new TMS-Report software is a powerful advanced surface analysis solution for Polytec's TopMap and TopSens surface topography analyzer product lines. The software is available on different levels and significantly extends the capabilities of Polytec's versatile TMS-software for surface data acquisition and evaluation.
Polytec TopMap surface metrology solution
Polytec TopMap surface metrology solution – visualizing and analyzing surface topography and generating surface metrology reports.
Polytec's TopMap and TopSens product lines address the surface metrology market with innovative, high-precision non-contact 3D profilometer technology and offer a broad range of solutions for many different industrial quality control and R&D applications. They enable high resolution determination of the micro/nano topography of functional surfaces, including soft materials, and rapid characterization of surface texture and geometry. In particular, TopMap white light interferometers with large field of view and very large scan range offer unique solutions for flatness and step height measurements.
Standard TMS-Report 3D surface analysis software for TopMap surface topography analyzers provides real time 3D surface visualization at any angle or zoom level and interactive or automated analysis of surface texture and geometry. Additional features available in TMS-Report+ optional modules and in TMS-Report Premium include an extended set of 3D and 2D surface texture parameters, flatness parameters and Fourier analysis. Extra modules provide contour and form deviation analysis and the statistical analysis of multiple dynamic or static measurement data sets. All numeric results can be exported in Excel-compatible text files for compatibility with third party systems.
Special TMS-Report Profile software for the TopSens product line is available for the evaluation of line profile measurement data generated by Polytec's new TopSens point sensors.
"We are very excited about rolling out the new TMS-Report software progressively in Europe, Asia and the United States between May and November 2012," stated Dr. Heinrich Steger, Manager Strategic Product Marketing at Polytec GmbH.
"The partnership between Digital Surf and Polytec began in 2004," stated François Blateyron, Chief Operating Officer of Digital Surf. "We welcome Polytec's decision to update TMS-Report software to the latest generation of Digital Surf's Mountains Technology."
