Global Warming Solutions Introduces 'LETG' Solar Technology
(Nanowerk News) Global Warming Solutions, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GWSO) – a developer of technologies aimed at mitigating the effects of global warming – today introduced a technology targeting the development of clean, environmentally-friendly solar power for commercial and residential use.
LETG – an acronym for Light Electric and Thermal Generator – is a new technology with an important mission: To maximize the electrical and thermal energy derived from sunlight. LETG utilizes a hybrid system to produce electricity year round even in low sunlight regions.
Recent awareness of climate change has sparked renewed interest in energy from the sun, a virtually inexhaustible energy source.
“The challenge of solar power has always been the need to produce energy efficiently,” says Dr. Vladimir Vasilenko, Chief Executive Officer of Global Warming Solutions. “Historically, it has been especially difficult to convert solar energy into electricity in areas with significant cloud cover, as well as extreme northern and southern latitudes, where days are extremely short in winter.”
Dr. Vasilenko explains that the LETG process increases the efficiency of photovoltaic conversion, adding that “LETG employs a unique molecular solar spectrum converter – a ‘photonic quantum pump’ – to shift an inefficient part of solar radiation to the effective red absorption spectrum of the silicon photocell.” In plain English, the result of this technology will be an increase in electrical output of 250% – a stunning advance in what had been considered a mature field.
Whereas solar power has to date been employed for targeted applications – heating a home or office building, for example – LETG technology holds out the prospect of solar energy being used for larger, more general purposes.
“Power plants,” says Dr. Vasilenko. “LETG could become the foundation for a new generation of power plants.”
Global Warming Solutions is currently conducting advanced stage testing of LETG solar technology, the development of which is being led by Dr. Alexander Kornaraki. The company plans to announce the test results in the near future.

About Global Warming Solutions, Inc.
Global Warming Solutions develops and commercializes technologies that help mitigate Global Warming and its effect on our planet. The Company targets three areas that help reduce the extent of Global Warming and fight issues that have risen in consequence: Clean Energy, Carbon Control, and Water Purification. Current climate models predict that global temperatures will rise sharply over the next century. The increase in temperatures can be slowed or eliminated by decreasing the amounts of greenhouse gases released into the Earth’s atmosphere. Global Warming Solutions seeks to leverage its experience and management to help make a difference in the fight for climate control.
