Georgia Tech Nanotechnology Spinout Lands $5M in Funding

(Nanowerk News) Solarity Inc., an Atlanta-based developer of nano-structured solar cells, has raised $5 million in Series A funding led by New Enterprise Associates, according to a regulatory filing. The company is being spun out of Georgia Tech, and is founded by Ajeet Rohatgi.

Rohatgi is a professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and the founding director of the University Center of Excellence for Photovoltaic Research and Education at Georgia Tech.
