Conference on the governance and ethics of nanotechnology
(Nanowerk News) The first conference on the Recommendation of the European Commission on a Code of Conduct for Responsible Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies Research will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 and Thursday May 8, 2008 at the premises of the European Commission (Jean Monnet Room, Berlaymont Building, Place Schuman) in Brussels.
This is the first conference on the recommendation of the European Commission on a Code of Conduct for Responsible Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies Research.
The conference will consist of speeches by Commission experts and roundtables, addressing the recently adopted code of conduct for responsible research in nanosciences and nanotechnologies as well as the potential of nanotechnologies. In addition, there will be presentations on EU-funded projects in the field.
