European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine meeting in Spain

(Nanowerk News) The next annual meeting of the European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine (ETPN) will be held in Madrid, Spain, on 25 and 26 September.
The meeting will cover the following topics:
  • status of the research on nanomedicines;
  • commercialising macromolecular drugs;
  • neurodegenerative diseases: current situation, advancements and limitations;
  • nanotechnology-based diagnosis;
  • regeneration;
  • nanomedicines: example of advancement in delivery;
  • the French Technology Platform on Nanomedicine;
  • regulatory aspects of nanomedicines;
  • cell therapy.
  • The European Technology Platform on Nanomedicine (ETPN) addresses ambitious, responsable research, development and innovation in Nanotechnology for Health to strengthen the competitive scientific and industrial position of Europe in the area of Nanomedicine and improve the quality of life and health care of its citizens.
    The ETPN has identified three applied Science areas :
  • Nanotechnology-based diagnostics, including imaging
  • Targeted drug delivery and release
  • Regenerative medicine
  • Members of the ETP are companies, hospitals, research organisations, and concerned organisations that operate in the area of Nanomedicine, represented by individuals that are able to contribute significantly and can give high-level advice to the European Commission and other stakeholders in the strategic planning and initiation of research programmes.
