Nanotechnology at the 2009 U.S. Army Corrosion Summit
(Nanowerk News) The U.S. Army, Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), ManTech Enterprise Integration Center (e-IC), and NACE International are sponsors of the 2009 U.S. Army Corrosion Summit to be held February 3-5, 2009 at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida.
This year the U.S. Army Corrosion Summit will feature a full day specialty track titled “Anti-Corrosion Nanotechnology R&D”. The technical track will focus on basic and applied nanotechnology corrosion R&D within academia, industry, and government.
The purpose of this specialty track is to exchange information on nanotechnology corrosion solutions that will enable the U.S. Army to develop a long-term strategy to reduce corrosion and its effects, and minimize the impact of corrosion on operational availability, lifecycle costs, and warfighting.
A Call for Papers is currently underway for the event. Please see the Army Corrosion website for more information (deadline Dec 12).
Please visit the U.S. Army Corrosion Office website at http://www.armycorrosion.com and select the Army Corrosion Summits menu for detailed conference information, or for specific information about the “Anti-Corrosion Nanotechnology R&D” specialty track, contact Mr. Joe Garcia at 304-254-2335 or Joe.Garcia@Mantech.com.
