(Nanowerk News) Representatives from RUSNANO, the Russian nanotechnology corporation, headed by CEO Anatoly Chubais, are to visit Finland at the invitation of Mauri Pekkarinen, Minister of Economic Affairs of Finland, and Mikko Kosonen, the president of Sitra (Finnish Innovation Fund). This will be first step in realizing the activity plan detailed in the Memorandum of Mutual Understanding signed by RUSNANO and the Ministry.
During the visit Finnish colleagues will present the national innovation system of the country, which by the moment is acknowledged to be one of the most effective in the world.
A RUSNANO delegation will meet with representatives of the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (TEKES) which is the main government financing and expert organization for research and technological development in Finland and with the top management of Finnish Innovation Fund (Sitra) which duty is to promote stable and balanced development in Finland, the qualitative and quantative growth of its economy and international competitiveness and cooperation.
Furthermore Anatoly Chubais plans to have a number of business meetings, including one with Matti Vanhanen, Prime Minister of Finland, Jyrki Katainen, Minister of Finance of Finland, and Jorma Ollila, Nokia Chairman of the Board of Directors and the top management of Technopolis.
