Leading Supplier of Nanoprobing Tools to the Semiconductor Industry Embraces ISO Quality Standard
(Nanowerk News) MultiProbe Inc., a leading supplier of nanoprobing tools to the semiconductor industry, has embraced the high quality standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Following a rigorous Registrar audit, MultiProbe recently earned ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management system (QMS).
The company's technology has been recognized for excellence through organizations such as Semi, ASM, and R&D 100. MultiProbe's Atomic Force Prober (AFP) Nanoprober allows analysts to characterize a variety of nanoscale devices both physically and electrically, without the need for a vacuum chamber or under the adverse influence of a charged electron beam. It reduces Failure Analysis (FA) times from weeks to hours.
Aside from a long-held commitment to high quality, MultiProbe was motivated by its industry focus to achieve ISO certification. "Our customers are engineers and manufacturing professionals in very high-tech, ISO certified organizations. They demand that we think and act with an ISO mindset. By conforming to ISO 9001:2008 standards, our engineering and manufacturing teams benefit from the systems implemented to measure and communicate compliance to specifications. Upon receiving certification, the company as a whole benefits from the recognition it receives for quality and professionalism. The ISO 9001:2008 certification signifies a standard of excellence we are proud to have met and committed to defend in coming years," states Andy Erickson, MultiProbe founder and CEO.
The MultiProbe AFP is currently being used successfully to probe the 22nm technology node. The company also offers Electrical Characterization Services and hosts FACES, (Failure Analysis Characterization Expertise Seminars). Open to the entire FA community, regardless of affiliation, FACES is a live online venue that presents FA engineers from leading companies with an opportunity to share ideas. All sessions are recorded and available in an online video archive, http://www.multiprobe.com/technology/videoArchive.php.
MultiProbe worked closely with Change Management Consulting, Inc. (www.cmc-changemanagement.com) to achieve its ISO 9001 registration. "MultiProbe represents a growing trend among high-tech companies with innovative technology to embrace formal quality standards," stated Stanley Cherkasky, CMC's Managing Partner. "We are pleased to lend our ISO 9001:2008 expertise to help leading-edge organizations like MultiProbe enjoy the benefits bestowed by ISO certification, including access to new markets."
