Nanotechnology workshop at EU Information Days 2012 in Dresden

(Nanowerk News) On 3-4 December 2012, the DGUV Academy in Dresden will conduct its second series of EU Information Days. As a visitor to the event, interested in international projects in the area of health and occupational safety, you will benefit from a better understanding of the current EU context.
Issues under discussion will include: Where is Europe heading? What are the goals of the EU 2020 strategy? What can we expect to see in the new funding period from 2014? What is the state of the art regarding the new EU Research Framework Programme? What is the latest planning status for the new EU Strategy on Safety and Health at Work?
You will also receive information on practical issues: DOs and DON’Ts for submitting applications for European grants; requirements for conducting European projects; advice on how to achieve European added value.
In comparison to the first Information Days, the content of the second event will focus on issues related to safety and health.
The following workshops have been organised:
  • Lifelong Learning and Prevention
  • Workplace Health Management / Mental Health
  • Demographic Change / Integration
  • Road Safety and
  • Nanotechnology.
  • There will also be an opportunity to exchange ideas with people participating in the Technical Assistance Program (TAP) in emerging markets.
    The Information Days are being run in co-operation with the Association for Social Security Policy and Research (GVG) and the Saxon State Ministry of Social Affairs (SMS). This series of events shall promote international cooperation in the field of health and occupational safety. Project partners will be offered a platform to enhance their exchange regarding future projects and to increase the international transfer of content in the area of Occupational Health and Safety and Workplace Health Management.
