Call for papers: Nanotechnology, Innovation and Global Development |

| (Nanowerk News) Advances in nanotechnology offer a wide range of opportunities for addressing global development challenges. Work is underway around the world to apply nanotechnology in a variety of sectors including agriculture, medicine, telecommunications, disaster management and environmental conservation. | |
 A number of developing countries, especially in emerging markets, are starting to pay policy attention to this field. However, the majority of developing nations have not recognised the implications of nanotechnology for economic development. The aim of this special issue of the International Journal of Technology and Globalisation is to provide a review of advances in nanotechnology or relevance to global development. Preference will be given to papers that combine assessment of emerging nanotechnologies and identification of policy options for action. Special attention will be given to studies that focus on specific applications. The issue also welcomes papers on prospects of nanotechnology transfer to developing countries. Subject Coverage |
