Apply to the 2nd Edition of the Master Programme in Nanochemistry and Nanomaterials on Madeira

(Nanowerk News) University of Madeira and Centro de Química da Madeira, Madeira Island, Portugal, invite applicants with a Bachelor or a Master degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Materials, Physics or related sciences/engineering courses to apply to the 2nd Edition of the Master Programme in Nanochemistry and Nanomaterials.
The candidates must have a strong motivation, resilience, excellent academic background and proficiency in spoken and written English. The selection process will be based on undergraduate study results, motivation, and a possible interview.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: June 30 (17:00 hours: GMT)
Tuition fees: €2500/Year in 10 installments (2013/2014). Tuition fees reductions for the best 10 applicants.
The Master programme will be taught in English and starts in 16 of September 2013 with full time attendance.
Applicants must provide the following documents:
  • Motivation letter in English;
  • Copy of passport, citizen or identity card;
  • Copy of the Taxpayer Identification Number(only for European applicants);
  • Certified copy of qualifications translate to English (non-Portuguese speakers only), e.g. copy of the diploma; the submission of this document can be made by July 12, for candidates applying in the 2nd Call;
  • A transcript of the marks obtained during the bachelor’s program (in English);
  • Full curriculum vitae preferably in the Europass format;
  • Other documents that the candidate deems useful to demonstrate their qualifications and curriculum;
  • Two signed letters of recommendation.
  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION
    1) Students are expected to support their accommodation, living costs, obligatory insurance and travel costs themselves. The University of Madeira and the partner institutions have services for foreign students that can provide assistance in arranging accommodation, insurances and other living arrangements;
    2) A proof of your proficiency in written and spoken English, (e.g. TOEFL test certificate) is not needed but is highly recommended;
    3) Before you submit your application, please read through our admission criteria carefully to ensure you meet our requirements and submit all the required documents;
    4) Most students from countries outside the European Union are not eligible to apply for part-time work due to student visa regulations.
