Stack Development Engineer Thin Film Photodetectors

You develop thin-film photodetectors, and their integration on top of silicon read-outs. You work in close collaboration with the responsible scientist or project leader.
You participate in the development of processes to realize these devices successfully on glass and on silicon. Part of the job is dedicated to opto-electronic characterization of the developed devices. This includes electrical characterization of device performance and physical characterization of the deposited layers.
You work on integration of the developed thin film photodetectors on top of silicon.
You develop new material integration schemes and techniques.
You report in a consistent and rigorous way.
You like working within a team and can schedule your work according to deadlines and deliverables. You are creative and like to think with the scientists to solve problems. You take initiative and can also work independently. You have good communication and reporting skills. Given the international character of imec a good knowledge of English is mandatory.
You have a master’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Materials or nano-technology. You have good technical skills in chemical/physical vapor depositions and in wet coating techniques. You have basic understanding of electrical measurements. Experience with photo-lithography is a plus. You have experience with process equipment. Experience with processing in a high-tech laboratory environment, such as a semiconductor-industry fab, is a plus.
Experience with material and/or device characterization is a strong plus
