A joint enterprise with Imperial College London, the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) has been designed to act as a focus for current interdisciplinary nanoscale materials and device research.
Nanogrowth is an international project, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council EPSRC, to investigate crystal growth mechanisms in nanoporous materials, such as zeolites. The project started in October 2006 and runs for three years. The group is working on Rotary Molecular Motors. In particular the Bacterial Flagellar Motor and F1-ATPase. The aim is to try and understand how these living machines work.
