IVAM Introduces First Comprehensive Directory of the European Micro- and Nanotechnology Industry at Hannover Messe

(Nanowerk News) Who sells what in the fields of microtechnology, nanotechnology and advanced materials in Europe? With the “Micro/Nano Atlas of Europe – Part B” IVAM Research now launches the first electronic micro- and nanotechnology directory that comprises products and services from several European countries. “The European micro- and nanotechnology directory gives the users a quick and easy overview, which is particularly useful in these cross-sectional technologies,” explains IVAM Managing Director Dr. Uwe Kleinkes.
The electronic database includes contact data of almost 3,000 small and medium-sized enterprises and research institutions in eight European countries. Customers can search the directory for companies, countries, markets, technologies, and keywords. This way they can identify matching suppliers or development partners with just a few clicks. “Quick links” enable the user to contact the supplier by phone or e-mail or access the supplier’s website directly from the software.
The European micro- and nanotechnology directory is a unique and qualified database that has been compiled by IVAM Research, the economic data division of IVAM, over several years. “We have been cooperating with partners in the micro- and nanotechnology community throughout Europe for some time,” says Iris Lehmann from IVAM Research. With its business addresses the database complements the survey “Micro/Nano Atlas of Europe – Part A”, a comparative analysis of eight European micro- and nanotechnology clusters.
The “Micro/Nano Atlas of Europe – Part B” will be introduced at MicroTechnology/HANNOVER MESSE from April 21 to 25, 2008. A free trial version on CD-ROM will be available at the IVAM Product Market “Micro, Nano & Materials” in hall 6, booth F16.
