Back to the future: Nanoco at nano tech 2009

(Nanowerk News) Nanoco are going back to the future when they return to Tokyo, Japan for nano tech 2009.
Nanoco Technologies is unique in the nanomaterials market as a company that manufacture large quantities of quantum dots and partner major R&D and blue-chip industrial organisations in the development of quantum dot applications. The world’s largest nanotechnology exhibition and conference takes place from 18th to 20th February and nano tech 2009 will bring further opportunities for Nanoco to build on the success it has found so far.
2009 is the fifth year running that Nanoco will be attending nano tech. Their booth in the UK pavilion was offered free of charge this year by UKTI as part of the Clean Technology Business Innovation Award that Nanoco were presented with in October 2008. The award was given in recognition of Nanoco Technologies’ pioneering work in developing quantum dots into a number of green technology applications such as printable solar cells and solid state lighting.
This year representatives from KISCO, who are exclusive distributors for Nanoco throughout Asia will be represented at the Nanoco booth. In previous years Nanoco have met investors, development partners and key customers at the nanotech conferences. nano tech 2009 will be the eighth event and aims to cover the entire nano marketplace and create a place for business encounters at Tokyo Big Sight. Bringing together technology and manufacturing can offer huge business opportunities across various product application areas.
Michael Edelman, CEO of Nanoco Technologies, commented: “nano tech is a key event for Nanoco in 2009. This year we are joined by our Asian distributors, KISCO who also recognize the value of nano tech 2009 in showcasing our combined strengths to such a highly focused international audience. It is a great platform for developing new relationships that can lead to strategic partnerships”
From 18th to 20th February 2009, Nanoco Technologies Ltd will be at the exhibition held at East Exhibition Hall 3,4,5,6 & Conference Tower, Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. You can find us at our booth in the UK pavilion. Nanoco has booth B40.
Nanoco will be showcasing new prototype Quantum Dot Electroluminescent and LED devices for general display & lighting applications at the event.
About Nanoco (
Nanoco is a privately held nano-material science company that holds patents related to industrial-scale production of Quantum Dots. Quantum Dots are Fluorescent semi-conducting nanocrystals that can be used in a range of applications from next generation displays, solid state lighting and solar cells to biological imaging. The University of Manchester spinout was founded in 2001 and works in partnership with technology driven corporations to bring quantum dot based applications to the market around the world.
About nano tech 2009 (
nano tech 2009 is organised by the nano tech executive committee.
In recent years, nanotechnology driven manufacturing technology has shown huge advancements having an especially large impact on various product applications. Based on optical lithography, new technologies such as ink-jet and nano imprint are creating new waves in ultra-fine processing technology making changes in processing and process implementation entering new markets with high-functional materials. Additionally innovative coating technologies strengthen the durability of precision metal molds making possible the practical application of products which were difficult for mass produce. This matching between technology and manufacturing is what all users in the industries such as Electronics, Automobile, Machinery, Medicine, Chemical, Printing have been seeking which offers a huge potential for business opportunities. Again this year, we will be covering the entire nano marketplace and creating a place for business encounters at Tokyo Big Sight by concurrently holding; nano tech 2008: the world's largest nanotechnology exhibition, Nano Bio Expo 2009: Exhibition uniting biotechnology, nanotechnology and business,ASTEC2009&METEC’09: Specialist exhibition for surface technology, treatment and processing. neo functional material 2009, exhibition for electronics and printing materials, Convertech JAPAN 2009 for converting industry, and our new exhibition named Printable Electronics 2009, which is the exhibition of printing-technology contribute materially to the development of electronics.
