Union of Chemists and RUSNANO to develop nanotechnology in the chemical industry

(Nanowerk News) The President of the Russian Union of Chemists Viktor Ivanov and Chief Executive Officer of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs Andrew Swinarenko signed an agreement on the promotion of the production and implementation of nanotechnology at chemical enterprises.
The parties agreed to form a database of companies of chemical industry, introducing and developing nanotechnology and materials. A separate point of agreement - Joint work on filling the system to support the innovation process StartBase. Simplifying the commercialization and application of nanotechnology developments will open the scientific and technological potential of the chemical industry in Russia.
Speaking of the prospects of cooperation in the framework of the signed AGREEMENT Viktor Ivanov said that "this document is primarily aimed at supporting and promoting increased production of innovative products at chemical enterprises. We will try to attract the support measures, including financial, provided by the legislation to encourage the development of company-producers of nanomaterials."
The Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs established in 2010 in accordance with the Federal Law No. 211-FZ "On the reorganization of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies." The purpose of the Foundation is to develop innovative infrastructure in the field of nanotechnology, including the implementation of already started RUSNANO education and infrastructure programs.
Chairman of the top collegiate governing body of the Fund - Supervisory Board - is the Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Livanov. According to the charter of the Fund, the competence of the Council, in particular, the issues of determining the priorities of the Fund, its strategy and budget. Chairman of the Board of the Fund, which is a joint management body, is the chairman of the Management Board of JSC "RUSNANO" Anatoly Chubais, CEO of the Foundation - Andrew Swinarenko.
The Russian Chemists Union is a non-profit organization that brings together companies in the chemicals sector, industry research and development, educational institutions, unions and associations, vertically integrated structures. Members of the PCX produce 75-80% of all chemical products in Russia.
