PowderSpecification
Appearance and color: dark gray to black suspension or paste. Average particle size is 80-110 nanometers. The particles are spherical and form agglomerates. Bulk density of dry powder is 2.85 g/cm3. BET surface area - 13.8 m2/g. The self-ignition temperature of the suspension vapor in air is 338 °C. Boiling point is 69 °C. Flash temperature -22 °C. Hexane is not soluble in water. On removing hexane from the suspension (evacuation), titanium powder may spontaneously ignite in air.
DANGERDescription
This nanopowder was prepared by electric explosion of a metallic wire in argon, then it was wetted by hexane and packaged in glass bottles under inert atmosphere.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
Material consists of 40-60% of hexane, balance - titanium powder not less 99,8%wt.

DANGER
The danger is determined by corresponding characteristics of the organic solvent used - hexane. Readily flammable liquid (Сlass 1B and 1C), gives open fire when burning. According to ANSI/NFPA 325 , the identification number of fire risk is 3.
