Phase 2 of this program is a PhD thesis under the supervision of one of the faculty members of the graduate program, which provides independent in-depth research experience while teaching problem-solving skills. Eligibility for Phase 2 is only available to those graduate students with sufficient grades on their MSc qualifying exam.
The International Doctorate Program NanoBioTechnology (IDK-NBT) is an international doctoral excellence program in NanoBioTechnology, funded by the Elite Network of Bavaria (ENB). The IDK-NBT offers outstanding graduate students the opportunity to earn their doctoral degree in a stimulating scientific and academic environment providing interdisciplinary research conditions and excellent education. The program involves faculty members from Physics, Biophysics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, and Environmental Sciences as well as Medicine and is administrated by the Center for NanoScience (CeNS) at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.
