Stellar Forge: Universe Building, Simplified.
Welcome to the heart of a star. Stellar Forge is a logic puzzle based on real stellar nucleosynthesis.
Your goal is simple but the physics are brutal: Slide tiles to fuse lighter elements into heavier ones: Hydrogen to Helium, Helium to Carbon, all the way up the periodic table. But be warned: just like in real stars, Iron (Fe) is a dead end. It cannot fuse and will clog your stellar core, eventually causing a collapse.
How to play Stellar Forge
- Fuse: Combine matching elements to evolve them (H + H = He).
- Survive: Manage your board space to prevent the "Iron Trap".
- Transmute: Earn points to charge your Neutron Flux and turn dangerous Iron into Gold.
- Win: Fuse two Gold atoms to trigger a Supernova and clear the board.
About Stellar Forge
Stellar Forge is a casual science game designed by Nanowerk. It combines classic sliding tile puzzle mechanics with an astronomy theme. Designed as a relaxing brain teaser, the game challenges players to merge elements and manage the board to achieve a high score, offering a fun mental break for science enthusiasts and everyone needing a break.
Science Note: The Iron Trap
In real astrophysics, fusing Iron (Fe) is endothermic—it consumes energy rather than releasing it, signaling the beginning of a star's death. Stellar Forge simulates this cosmic deadline. Unlike every other element on the board, Iron tiles cannot fuse with each other.
Every Iron atom you create becomes a permanent obstacle ("dead weight") that clogs your grid and reduces your playable space. If you accumulate too much Iron without clearing it, your star will destabilize and the game ends. Your only defense is to generate enough entropy (points) to trigger a Neutron Flux, which transmutes these dangerous Iron tiles into Gold.
